HAIR ACCESSORIES: How To Recreate Your Own Met Gala Looks
So, it’s that time of year once again and the Met Gala has soon come and gone.
The Met Gala takes place in New York every year and is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where many famous faces attend.
The Gala is essentially a Costume Institute Gala, so yes, some of the outfits may be OTT, outrageous or down right daft but even so this is where a lot of fashion inspiration does stem from and then filters down on to our high streets eventually.
This year’s theme for The Met Gala was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and The Catholic Imagination. So think; Roman Catholic, The Pope, Virgin Mary, Rome, faith and religion. Think; bold and lavish prints, heavy and embellished materials but also soft, floaty materials.
I’ve picked ten of my favourite looks from The Met Gala and thought – hmmm… how can I turn these into wearable everyday styles? The answer – HAIR ACCESSORIES.
(Well when I say “everyday” you might not want to pop down to Tesco for your milk in all of these. Perhaps think summer festival inspo, but hey, whatever floats your boat.)
