Thinking of changing up your ‘do as it’s a New Year? No problems! I’ve got you sorted with the top trends you will be seeing all throughout the year. You can change up your hair this year from accessories, to cuts and colours. Scroll down to see what will be BIG in 2019.
Yes, that’s right! They are back again in 2019 and stronger than ever. Ask your Hair Stylist for a one length bob with no layers and with blunt edges. These are personally one of my favourites to cut. If you have super thick hair and decide to go for one of these, even better! You will get a more triangle shaped bob, where the weight falls heavier on the mid lengths and ends and these will be so big in 2019.
Hair accessories began to filter through towards the end of 2018 and they will continue to be a strong feature throughout 2019. The bigger the better, the more the better. There is no ‘less is more’ here with accessories this year.
The perfect kind of fringes! The kind where you don’t have to wake up in the morning and blow dry back down into a sleek perfection. Nope, these kinds of fringes are designed to look like you’ve had a late night and just rolled out of bed. They are 2019’s take on the ultimate Rock and Roll lifestyle of a 90’s supermodel. Ask your Stylist for a choppy, textured fringe which is concave (slightly longer on the edges than in the centre.)
Yes, for the girls who love their straighteners – super straight is continuing all through 2019. Super straight works best on mega long locks which are in fab condition. We want that high shine, polished finish with not a stray hair in sight. Best products to use for this are ghd Straight and Tame Cream blow dried in, ghd Platinum+ Stylers and IGK Hair Laid Back De-Frizz & Anti Static Spray to finish.
The year of the smoky colours; smoky shades of pink, blonde, lilac. The ideal thing about these colours is that they will fade softly (yep, all fashion tones WILL fade in hair.) Find a salon with confident colourists for this one, no home colour will be able to create these effects for you so don’t chance it! Hair will need to be of a light level to achieve these smoky tones.
Which trend will you be trying out for 2019?
