Tight VS. Loose! Which curl is your go to?

Tight VS. Loose curls, which is your go to and do you know how to achieve them? Tight curl: hold your stylers on a horizontal angle, complete one full twist around the stylers and then glide the stylers out from your head. Loose curl: hold your stylers on a vertical angle, complete one full twist (or even half a twist for a looser look!) and then glide the stylers down the hair, keeping them close to your body to retain length. Angles…

Curling with a straightener! Can you tell a difference between the left side and the right side? Here, I use the same technique throughout: holding the @ghdhair styler vertical and pulling downwards. This will create a loose wave which doesn’t bounce up and lose length. On the right hand side all of the sections are curled in the same direction, away from the face. On the left hand side each section is curled in alternate ways, clashing into each other. Always think about the direction of the curl, this will change your overall look! Which side do you prefer? Left or right? Curling with a straightener (the difference between the same direction & alternating directions!)

Have you ever curled your hair with the straighteners and then wondered why one side might look slightly different to the other side? It could quite well be the direction in which you are curling in! In this video I demonstrate the different looks achieved with curling all in the same direction (right hand side) and then alternating directions (left hand side) Curling or waving in the same direction, will allow all of your curls to fall into the same place creating a…

How to create a bouncy blow dry with ghd

Here is my at home bouncy blow dry tutorial for ghd, using of course all of my favourite ghd products. Give this one a try, if you are not used to blow drying from the front and working down towards the back of the head - you will need some practice! But I can assure you, you will love this look. The idea of starting at the front of your hair and then setting into a pin curl, allows the hair the maximum amount…

How I Style A Wig

How I style my wig! So when my wig firstly arrived, it was pre styled with a bouncy blow dry kind of feel. It had quite a lot of volume at the root and this can make a wig look unnatural against the head. So I created a style where the wig would look a lot more natural and sit flatter to the head. I used the ghd gold styler to create a flat, barely there wave to the hair…

HOW TO MAKE YOUR CURLS HOLD & LAST‼️In 10 steps: 1) I always begin with freshly washed hair. Prep with heat protection, primer, oil etc. Your preference on hair care products. Hair must be 100% dry❗️I blow dry mine smooth with @ghdhair Helios. 2) I always recommend a tong or wand for hair that tends to drop or for finer/longer hair. Using a tong/wand, the hair will be wrapped around and this will give more volume & bounce to the hair. Here I am using the @ghdhair classic curl tong. 3) Mist every section with @ghdhair Curl Hold Spray before curling❗️ This contains heat protection & a memory hold polymer to make your curls bounce back into shape even after the brush out. 4) Start from the top and work down❗️This will allow the top and the front the longest amount of time to set into it’s curl shape for maximum hold and curl retention. (After all, the front is the most important!) 5) Tap out the curl, catch it in your hand and pin into shape whilst it’s still hot❗️This part is super important ‼️ 6) Continue to work your way down the head, finishing at the nape of the neck. 7) Mist hair with @ghdhair hairspray. 8) Wait for all pin curls to fully cool before removing❗️Also very important part‼️ Remove pins, bottom first, working up to the top. 9) Spray some more hairspray onto @ghdhair paddle brush & then brush through to dress out. (This will reduce static hairs when brushing and smooth hairs into place) 10) Don’t be scared of brushing out! As long as you have followed all steps above, your curls will not drop and will bounce into shape nicely. (Opt for wide tooth comb to dress out if you don’t want the result to be as soft & together as mine) Will you be trying these 10 steps for your curls? Let me know what you think! 🥰🥰🥰 #hair #hairgoals #hairstyles #ghdhair #curlyhair #curls #hairvideos #hairtutorial #chloeswiftstylist
