10 tips for washing hair! 1) Once a week use a scalp exfoliator - the scalp builds up with oil, dead skin and old products. 2) Always shampoo twice - the 1st shampoo will loosen up oil & debris and then the 2nd shampoo will fully remove it. 3) Shampoo the scalp with the pads of fingers, never shampoo & scrub the hair itself - when hair washing, it’s actually the scalp we want to wash. If we scrub the ends with shampoo, this will roughen up the cuticle leaving tangled and matted hair. The hair will get washed just by the shampoo running over it when being rinsed out. 4) Squeeze the water out of the hair before conditioning - this is so you are not diluting down your conditioner. 5) Comb conditioner gently through with a wide tooth comb and leave for 2-5 minutes - this is to make sure all hair is covered, not just the top layer and to remove tangles. Leaving on for 2-5 minutes will allow the conditioner to do it’s job of closing the cuticle and restoring moisture and protein. 6) Give yourself a little massage whilst the conditioner sits on the hair - this will stimulate blood circulation which then stimulates new hair growth! 7) Once a week, use a mask instead of a conditioner, leave on for 10-20 minutes (depending on what your mask tells you) - A mask penetrates deeper than your surface conditioner, this is more of a treatment. 8) Rinse off conditioner or mask with cool water - this will close the cuticle of the hair and leave your hair shiny and smooth. 9) Pat and squeeze hair with a towel, never rub - hair is vulnerable when wet so we need to treat it carefully. If we rub the hair, this will toughen up the cuticle and lead to matting/split ends. 10) When shopping for hair products, look for a shampoo with no sulphates & a conditioner with no silicones - sulphates are a type of salt which will dry your hair out over the long run. Sulphates are a type of plastic which deceive you into thinking your hair is silky soft when it’s a layer of silicone over the top! Were there any tips in here that you didn’t know? 🤯 #hair #healthyhair #hairgoals #hairtips #hairtutorials #hairvideos #haircare #chloeswiftstylist

4 products you need to blow dry into your hair

Whenever I wash my hair I will always use these 4 kinds of products! HEAT PROTECTION PRIMER - (here I am using Fudge Professional but I have linked another favourite of mine which is the Kerastase Nectar Thermique) SPLIT END THERAPY - (a good blob of this will seal down split ends and prevent them from splitting any further before your next hair cut) SERUM - (I can't live without a serum, just great for taming fluffiness and frizziness and adding that smooth touch to…

Products used: - ghd mini stylers here: http://tidd.ly/b5b0abc2 - ghd hairspray here: http://tidd.ly/d3da7fb6 - ghd paddle brush here: http://tidd.ly/ce4ca455 - oil here: http://tidd.ly/74d11238 If you do not already follow @negin_mirsalehi you definitely should, as she is ultimate hair goals and girl boss! So I thought I’d do a little tutorial on how to create her amazing curls/tight waves that last in the hair for at least 3 days! 1) Begin with freshly washed, smooth, dry hair 2) Section into 2 (left and right) and use sectioning clips to section bottom upwards in 2 inch deep sections 3) Using @ghd mini stylers, rotate a full turn at the root and then glide down on a 45 degree horizontal angle 4) Swap hands for the opposite side and repeat the same, but make sure your curls are the opposite way! 5) All curls should be in the same direction on each side but falling AWAY from the face, so different for each side! 6) Keep working up towards the top of the head in 2 inch deep sections. Repeat the same technique on bangs if you have any 7) Mist with hairspray and allow to fully cool 8) Once fully cool, use a paddle brush to brush out curls. This will loosen them out and bring them all together to create more of a waved shape 9) Use a couple drops of oil, warm up in your hands and then run through your locks with your fingers. This will tame, smooth and add shine. 10) Et Voila! You’re set for your waves to last until next hair wash day! (*You can use the standard styler size and you will just create a slightly looser look!) #hair #hairgoals #curlyhair #curls #hairstyle #neginmirsalehi #chloeswiftstylist

How to style your hair like Negin (AKA perfect tight waves which last for 3 days!)

For those of you who don't know Negin, she is the ultimate girl boss and brand owner of GISOU hair products. To create tight waves like hers which will last 3 days, I have used the ghd mini stylers but you could also use the standard size stylers for a slightly looser look. These curls are great though for hair which tends to drop! https://www.instagram.com/tv/CAGMiujAEIT/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

HOW TO MAKE YOUR CURLS HOLD & LAST‼️In 10 steps: 1) I always begin with freshly washed hair. Prep with heat protection, primer, oil etc. Your preference on hair care products. Hair must be 100% dry❗️I blow dry mine smooth with @ghdhair Helios. 2) I always recommend a tong or wand for hair that tends to drop or for finer/longer hair. Using a tong/wand, the hair will be wrapped around and this will give more volume & bounce to the hair. Here I am using the @ghdhair classic curl tong. 3) Mist every section with @ghdhair Curl Hold Spray before curling❗️ This contains heat protection & a memory hold polymer to make your curls bounce back into shape even after the brush out. 4) Start from the top and work down❗️This will allow the top and the front the longest amount of time to set into it’s curl shape for maximum hold and curl retention. (After all, the front is the most important!) 5) Tap out the curl, catch it in your hand and pin into shape whilst it’s still hot❗️This part is super important ‼️ 6) Continue to work your way down the head, finishing at the nape of the neck. 7) Mist hair with @ghdhair hairspray. 8) Wait for all pin curls to fully cool before removing❗️Also very important part‼️ Remove pins, bottom first, working up to the top. 9) Spray some more hairspray onto @ghdhair paddle brush & then brush through to dress out. (This will reduce static hairs when brushing and smooth hairs into place) 10) Don’t be scared of brushing out! As long as you have followed all steps above, your curls will not drop and will bounce into shape nicely. (Opt for wide tooth comb to dress out if you don’t want the result to be as soft & together as mine) Will you be trying these 10 steps for your curls? Let me know what you think! 🥰🥰🥰 #hair #hairgoals #hairstyles #ghdhair #curlyhair #curls #hairvideos #hairtutorial #chloeswiftstylist
